Description
In India, cows are respected for their gentle nature. Cattle can be found roaming freely throughout the country. Honoring the cow in Hindu tradition, inspires in people the virtues of gentleness and connects them with nature. You can find cattle everywhere, even right in the middle of city streets, standing or laying without a care in the world, as traffic maneuvers around them. The breed zebu is one that I saw quite often during my visit. They have upright horns, a large hump between their shoulders and a dewlap dangling from their neck.
