This fancy Skeleton Dame or Catrina Calavera and her skeleton companions, is made from paper mache for the Day of the Dead celebration in Mexico City. The Day of the Dead is a wonderful holiday of love and remembrance to celebrate and honor those who have passed on. The Mexican people who participate in this celebration will often create elaborate alters with candles and pictures of their deceased loved ones, complete with their favorite mementos and foods.
