Passengers take a ride in a gondola during the golden hour on a warn summer evening in Venice. Venice, is known as the city of romance and who can contest with beautiful views such as this! This waterway is the Grand Canal- known as the main street of Venice, it is usually very busy with boats making their way up and down the waterway. In most of Venice, automobiles are not allowed so people either walk or use boats for transportation. The gondolas are primarily used for the tourist trade while Venetians prefer the more practical Vaporetto (water buses).
