Description
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your long hair.... So the story of Rapunzel is told from the Magturm tower in Lindau Germany.
This 20 meter (65 feet) tall tower once served as the lighthouse for the town of Lindau on beautiful Lake Constance. However, a new lighthouse was constructed in 1856 and the Magturm lost it's job. Now the Magturm is listed as a historic building and if you're lucky, you can see Rapunzel's long plait of hair hanging down the side of the building while she patiently waits for her true love to climb up and rescue her from the evil sorceress ;) .
